Composition of steel tape measure

The steel tape measure consists of eight parts: outer shell, ruler, brake, ruler hook, lifting belt, ruler spring, fall protection sleeve and labeling. Details are as follows

1. Shell: ABS new plastic, with glossy appearance; Resistant to fall, wear and deformation.

3. Braking: with three-dimensional braking on the upper, side and bottom, hand control feels stronger.

4. Ruler hook: the structure of rivet ruler hook is not easy to deform and ensures more accurate measurement.

5. Tape: rubber and nylon; High quality; Strong and durable, with good feel.

6. Ulnar spring: generally adopt no. 50 carbon steel and no. 65 manganese materials: strong toughness and high accuracy.

The temperature influence

The main structure of steel tape measure is the whole strip of steel with certain elasticity.

(1) when the temperature of both the standard steel tape and the tested steel tape is 20%, the dimension error caused by the temperature is zero.

(2) when the material and temperature of the standard steel tape and the tested steel tape are the same, the dimension error caused by the temperature is proportional to the thermal expansion coefficient and temperature.

(3) when the material of the standard steel tape and the tested steel tape are the same and the temperature is different, the dimension error caused by the temperature is proportional to the thermal expansion coefficient and temperature difference of two feet.

(4) when the material and temperature of the standard steel tape and the tested steel tape are different, the dimension error caused by the temperature is proportional to the difference between the thermal expansion coefficient of two feet and the temperature of two feet.

(5) when the material and temperature of the standard steel tape and the tested steel tape are different, the dimension error caused by the temperature is proportional to the difference between the thermal expansion coefficient of two feet and the temperature difference of two feet.

The accuracy of steel tape measure will affect the measurement precision directly, so the quality of steel tape measure must be verified during its use. Currently, most are still in use manual operation to complete detection for steel tape, on the long steel tape test contrast microscope measured steel tape and standard error of the steel tape, low degree of automation, digitization, this way the intensity of labor is big. Therefore, the testing institution urgently needs an automatic measuring system which can not only meet the inspection precision of steel tape measure, but also improve the inspection efficiency. According to the verification requirements of steel tape measure, an automatic spindle system of steel tape based on CCD image was developed, and image processing software was developed using VisualBaSic6 to realize automatic image acquisition and processing. Test results report output, repeatable accuracy less than 12 promontory, easy operation, more than 10m steel tape can be segmented detection.
